FBP International is proud to say that it’s the only firm in the region to have in-house Australian Lawyers and Advisors who specialise in Australian Immigration Law, which we believe allows us to provide Australian immigration advice at the highest standard, unlike most migration agencies. Australian Immigration law is a highly specialised area of the law and hence Registered Migration Agents (RMA’s), even in Australia, are not always fully equipped and experienced to advise. A significant difference between an RMA, and an Immigration Lawyer, is the level of qualification and study undertaken. For example, an Australian Immigration Lawyer holds a law degree, while an RMA does not have a law degree. This means that an Immigration Lawyer has broader legal training and experience in dealing with the interpretation of Immigration Law and cases and can provide legal advice that an RMA cannot.

Giving another simple example, if your case goes to court, our Immigration Lawyers have complete knowledge and experience and thus can provide seamless representation, unlike an RMA. In a nutshell an RMA cannot provide “Immigration Legal Assistance” within the meaning of s277 of the Migration Act 1958.

As per the new bill and law passed in 2021 by the Australian Government, all Australian Immigration Lawyers do not need to be registered with OMARA (Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority). If an Australian Immigration Lawyer continues to be registered with OMARA, then they have to cease practising law to remain on the OMARA Registrar of Migration Agents. FBP International’s in-house Australian Lawyers are not in favour of giving up their Legal Practicing Certificate and hence have chosen not to continue being registered with OMARA.

Even though we are referred to as Australian Immigration Legal Experts, we keep our costs down and charge substantially less for the same work than most migration law firms would, all for the benefit of individuals and families who would like to use our services.

Our Team

Janine Elizabeth - LLB/LP
Australian Legal Practitioner

Janine is a highly skilled and knowledgeable Australian immigration specialist that enables her to provide a high level of immigration assistance.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice from Flinders University, South Australia, and completed her practical legal training at a full-service law firm in Adelaide where she was drawn to Australian immigration law. In 2014, Janine was admitted to practice as a Solicitor and Barrister of the Supreme Court of South Australia and has been in the migration profession ever since.

Janine has significant immigration practical experience and her extensive understanding of Australian migration law and the Australian immigration system has seen her support individuals and families through complex visa applications, including visa cancellations, with a high success rate. Her areas of expertise are in General Skilled Migration, Resident Return, Partner, Child, Citizenship and Administrative Appeals Tribunal matters.

Since 2014, Janine has provided her consultancy services to FBP International. Her experience in the migration consultancy area has resulted in countless migration success stories. With her broad and vast experience dealing with General Skilled Migration matters, including skills assessments and state nomination opportunities, we are able to cater to the immigration needs of our clients with the upmost confidence.

As a member of the Law Society of South Australia, Migration Alliance and the Migration Institute of Australia, Janine is connected to leading associations and professional bodies in Australia for migration professionals. She has travelled internationally promoting Australian migration and has enjoyed mentoring new migration agents.

Lukasz Wyszynski - LLB/LP
Australian Legal Practitioner

Lukasz is an Australian Legal Practitioner, who has over a decade of experience in International Trade Law, Australian Immigration Law and Global Investor Visa Law.

Lukasz has been with FBP International since 2015 as an In-House Counsel. Having resided and worked both internationally and in Australia, he understands the needs of international business groups as well as local clientele, who require Australian immigration services, including advice for business setup and investments in Australia. With Australian Immigration Law as his major forte, Lukasz also practices in the areas of Charities & Not-for-Profit Organisations; Corporate & Commercial Law; International Trade Agreements (Commodities); Energy Law/PPA; and Start-up Law (IP/IT/AI).

With his extensive local and international experience, Lukasz assisted in forming an online technology platform that allows for a convenient, straight-forward and secure way of conducting international trade using the latest developments in artificial intelligence algorithms.
